Gosfield Street, Fitzrovia, London W1W
The Bi-fold Door Factory was initially contacted by Cameron Black to help find them a economically sound solution for their contract on Gosfield Street. This contract was later transferred to Cennet (UK) Ltd and we continued to work closely alongside Marek Wojciechowski Architects to finalise design proposals. It was the confidence of being a preferred Schuco partner, that Cennet (UK) Ltd had the assurance and security of placing the entire order with Bi-Fold Door Factory Ltd.
There was constant collaboration with Schuco to overcome height and width restrictions faced, we went ahead with the recommendations from the Sales representative to use Schuco ASS 70 FD Highly Insulated Bifold Doors and windows and the Schuco AWS /ADS 70.HI Square Type III Walk on Roof Lights, as we had to work with the existing brick work the windows were fitted with restrictors which limited both door & window to only open to 100mm, thus still allowing ventilation.
From the on-set once the order was placed, we were under super tight deadlines to install the rear facade, we successfully over came the problems of working with the existing brick works and the restrictions on sound. The final outcome for this modern building was to achieve unobtrusive windows cost-effectively but yet not to compromise on quality and aesthetics, the Bi-Fold Door Factory successfully attained these objectives.
